DIGITAL PAINTINGS

In Alex Livingston's digital paintings, discrete strands undulate like weeds in the underbrush, like DNA, like the cables in a computer, demarcating virtual space by filling it. The positioning of these compositions as digital paintings hints at the ontological gap in which this playful artifice unfolds.
